Louis Janssens (1908-2001) was a Belgian philosopher, theologian, and professor known for his significant influence on personalism. He entered the Malines-Brussels seminary in 1928 and was ordained as a priest in 1934. He earned a doctorate in theology from the University of Louvain in 1937 and initially specialized in patristics before shifting to moral theology. Janssens taught at his alma mater and later at the Louvain Faculty of Theology, focusing on moral theology until his retirement in 1978.
