Lori Ann Setton is an esteemed American biomechanical engineer recognized for her significant contributions to the research of mechanics and mechanobiology of intervertebral discs, as well as articular cartilage mechanics. Her research also extends to drug delivery systems and the pathomechanisms associated with osteoarthritis. Currently, she holds the position of department chair and serves as the Lucy and Stanley Lopata Distinguished Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the McKelvey School of Engineering, Washington University in St. Louis.
