Liri Belishova was an Albanian politician and a member of the Politburo of the Albanian Party of Labor. She studied at the pedagogical institute in Tirana and participated in the partisan struggle during World War II. Belishova held the position of president of the Albanian Youth Union from 1946 to 1947, but lost this role due to political circumstances after her first husband's death. She became a Politburo member until 1960 and studied in Moscow from 1952 to 1954. Accused of being a Soviet spy, her political career ended, and she lived in Tirana until her death in 2018.
