Lin Shang'an (June 8, 1924 – March 17, 2009) was a Chinese polymer chemist from Yongding, Fujian. He served as a professor at the Polymer Research Institute of Sun Yat-sen University and held various leadership roles, including director of the Chemistry Department and the Polymer Institute, as well as president and honorary president of the Guangdong Chemical Society. His research focused on the efficient catalytic polymerization of olefins, copolymerization, polymerization theory, and the synthesis of various polyolefins.
