Liesbeth Brandt Corstius was a notable Dutch art historian, feminist, and museum director who significantly promoted female artists in the art world. As the director of Museum Arnhem, she implemented policies to ensure that at least half of the museum's purchases and exhibitions featured works by women. Her efforts earned her the Aletta Jacobsprijs in 1994. She also played a key role in the museum's expansion, culminating in its reopening in 2000. Brandt Corstius passed away in Arnhem at the age of 81.
