Li Qingkui was a Chinese soil scientist, born on February 12, 1912, in Ningbo, Zhejiang. He played a pivotal role in the development of soil plant nutrition chemistry in China and was recognized as one of its foundational figures. He became a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1955 and served as a representative in the National People's Congress across multiple sessions. He passed away on February 25, 2001.
