Leonila Vázquez García (January 17, 1914 – January 30, 1995) was a Mexican biologist specializing in insects. She dedicated much of her research to understanding the biology of the cochineal bug (Dactylopius coccus), a Mexican species used to produce a red dye. Beginning in 1943, she taught at the Faculty of Sciences at UNAM and was a researcher at the Institute of Biology, also at UNAM.
