Leon Thorn was an Austrian-Polish-American rabbi and writer, born on July 22, 1907, in Schodnica, Galicia, and died on February 23, 1978, in Brooklyn, New York. After World War II, he worked in Frankfurt am Main, where he reconstituted and founded various Jewish organizations and schools. His book 'Out of the Ashes' (1961) even impressed Nobel laureate Isaac Bashevis Singer, highlighting his influence in the literary and religious community.
