Leon Fudakowski was a Polish army officer, born on August 26, 1904, in Uher, near Chełm. He served as a lieutenant colonel in the Polish Armed Forces and was promoted to colonel on November 10, 1990, by the President of the Republic of Poland in exile. He was the last commander of the 12th Podolian Uhlan Regiment from 1944 to 1947 and the first president of the 12th Podolian Uhlan Regiment Circle in London.
