Leo Thomas Nimsick (1908–1999) was a prominent political figure in British Columbia, serving as a member of the Legislative Assembly from 1949 to 1975 as part of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation and the New Democratic Party. Born in Rossland, he worked in diamond drilling, dairy farming, and spent 40 years at Cominco. Nimsick held positions such as Minister of Mines and Petroleum Resources and Minister of Travel Industry. He was also an alderman and ran for leadership of the CCF in 1956. He passed away at 91.
