Lena Aurora Stiessel, born July 26, 1931, in Stockholm, is a Swedish author known for her children's books. She debuted in 1968 with 'Min Bok' published by Bonnier. Stiessel gained wider recognition through her series about the little horse Trolle. The first book in the series, 'En häst i huset,' was released in 1976 and illustrated by Lisbeth Holmberg-Thor, marking the beginning of her successful writing career. She worked as a librarian until 1990, after which she focused on her writing.
