Len Thomas was an Australian rules footballer born on July 20, 1908, who had a notable career in the Victorian Football League (VFL). He played 187 games with the South Melbourne Football Club before becoming a captain-coach for both Hawthorn and North Melbourne. He was also the son of former South Melbourne player William Thomas, and he significantly contributed to the Australian football landscape during his active years until his passing on August 17, 1943.
