Len Simms is a Canadian politician from Newfoundland and Labrador, born on October 23, 1943. He served as the Progressive Conservative Member of the House of Assembly for Grand Falls-Windsor-Buchans from 1979 to 1995. Simms was Speaker of the House from 1979 to 1982, then held various cabinet positions under Premier Brian Peckford. He ran for party leadership in 1989, becoming Leader of the Opposition in 1991. After leaving politics, he was appointed as chairman and CEO of the Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation in 2005 until 2014.
