Leif Verner Jakobsson, born on August 22, 1953, in Pietarsaari, is a Finnish-Swedish program director who has served as the director of the Swedish Cultural Foundation since 2012. He graduated from the University of Helsinki with a Master of Arts degree in 1982, specializing in Scandinavian history, art history, archaeology, general history, and political science. He worked in public service TV from 1983 to 2007 and was the head of FST5 channel. He has held several leadership roles in various cultural institutions in Finland and Sweden.
