Reuben LaVell Edwards (October 11, 1930 – December 29, 2016) was an American college football coach and player. Serving as the head coach of the Brigham Young University football team from 1972 to 2000, he led the team to victory in the 1984 NCAA Division I-A national championship and secured 19 conference championships during his tenure.
