Lars Olof Säfström (born August 26, 1947) is a Swedish director and film and TV producer active in both film and television. He began working as a film editor at TV2 Nöje in Stockholm in 1979 and later became a producer and project leader. After the merger of TV1 and TV2 in 1987, he helped establish Kanal 1 Drama. In 1994, he moved to SVT Malmö as a program chief, where he was involved in controversial programming about Fidel Castro. He left SVT on June 30, 2015, and continued to work as a documentary film consultant.
