Lars Gunnar Laxén was a Finnish officer born on November 20, 1912, in Filpula, Finland. He served as the commander of the II Battalion of the Infantry Regiment 13, known as the 'Tigers of Tali,' and played a significant role in the defensive battles at Kaplainmäki, Vierumäki, and Tali Mill during 1944. Laxén became a major that same year. He left Finland in 1945 due to involvement in a scandal but returned in 1952 to work as an insurance inspector and manager at Pohjola, later becoming a businessman.
