He served as a member of the Swedish Parliament from 1991 to 1994 representing Örebro County for the party Ny demokrati. He has a background as a lawyer and worked as a security guard. Andersson was also involved in attempts to form a new political party in 1992. After leaving Ny demokrati in 1994, he did not seek re-election and eventually exited politics.
