Kwang-ju Kim (July 9, 1910 - December 17, 1973) was a South Korean independence activist, journalist, and novelist born in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. He began his writing career in 1933 with a short story and was active in the independence movement under Kim Gu during Japanese colonial rule. After Korea's liberation in 1945, he returned to South Korea and worked as a journalist, serving as the cultural department head of the Kyunghyang Shinmun. He later focused on writing until his death due to illness. His son, Kim Hoon, is also a novelist.
