Kuo Ting-yee (January 12, 1904 – September 14, 1975) was a Chinese historian born in Wuyang, Henan. He was a pioneer in modern Chinese historiography and oral history. After 1949, he moved to Taiwan, where he co-founded the Institute of Modern History at the Academia Sinica and was elected as an Academician. His contributions significantly impacted the study of modern China, establishing frameworks for both historical research and the preservation of oral history.
