Kuo Chin-fa was a prominent Taiwanese singer known for his significant contributions to Hokkien music. He began his career at the age of 15 and rose to fame with his 1959 rerecording of 'Hot Rice Dumpling,' a song that faced censorship at its original release in 1949. Kuo's popularity peaked in the 1960s, resulting in over 100 albums throughout his career. His music was celebrated, notably 'Hot Rice Dumpling' which became the theme song for the Chinese Taipei national baseball team at the 2006 Asian Games. Kuo passed away on stage in 2016.
