Kristel Lisberg is a Faroese singer born in 1989, who grew up in Tvøroyri. She gained fame after participating in X Factor in Denmark in 2012. Her notable singles include 'Without You' (2014) and 'September' (2015), the latter dedicated to her brother who tragically died in a traffic accident in 1999. Lisberg was a soloist in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2016 with 'Who Needs a Heart?', a song written by Swedish songwriters. She started performing at age 7 and has toured the Faroe Islands with her father. She also works as an optician.
