Krishen Jit was a prominent Malaysian author, playwright, and theatre director, celebrated as a cultural icon in Malaysian theatre. He co-founded the Five Arts Center in 1984 and contributed as an acting coach for the film 'Puteri Gunung Ledang'. His notable writings were compiled in 'Krishen Jit: An Uncommon Position' published in 2003. Jit's legacy continues through the Astro-Krishen Jit Fund, established in his honor after his passing in 2005 at age 65 following a stroke.
