Born on June 11, 1950, in Shizuoka Prefecture, she represented Japan alongside her partner Hiroshi Nagakubo, with whom she won the national championship five times from 1967 to 1971. The duo also competed at the 1972 Winter Olympics, finishing in 16th place. After ending her competitive career, Nagasawa transitioned to a career as a skating coach in Japan, contributing to the sport's development.
