Kōin Takada (March 30, 1924 - June 22, 1998) was a prominent monk of the Hōsō sect of Buddhism and served as the chief priest of Yakushiji. Known for his engaging teachings, he was called 'an entertaining monk' and 'the ultimate storyteller,' contributing significantly to the revival of Yakushiji, including the restoration of its Kondo and West Tower through a project that encouraged the recitation of the Sutras.
