Kōichirō Ikawa (July 27, 1962 - November 25, 2021) was a Japanese film director and screenwriter known for his work in V-cinema since the 1990s. He served as a lecturer at a film school and at the literature department of Rikkyo University, focusing on literary and philosophical studies. His notable directorial works include short films such as 'Niemuri ni Mizu' and 'Nishi Migaki,' as well as his first commercial feature, 'Shikidō Yonjūhutte Takarabune.' He also wrote scripts for films like 'Kuroi Shitagi no Josei Kyōshitsu' and 'Mofuku no Miobitachi Hoshii no...'.
