Kōichi Yokoyama (October 28, 1940 - July 13, 2020) was a prominent Japanese astronomer. He served as the director of the Mizusawa Observatory at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan. Yokoyama also held key positions, including chief researcher in the Earth Rotation Research Division of the National Astronomical Observatory, chairman of the International Earth Rotation and Reference Systems Service, and honorary president of the Geodetic Society of Japan.
