Kōichi Kihara (1922-1979) was a Japanese poet from Tokyo, known for his involvement in the post-war literary scene. He participated in the poetry magazine 'VOU' with Katsue Kitazono and later joined 'Arashi.' Kihara also served as an editor for the magazine 'Shigaku.' His notable work in music poetry drama, 'Gisha Baitone,' won the Grand Prix at the 1965 Italy Awards.
