Kodama was a prominent Japanese racehorse and sire, born on April 15, 1957. He debuted in central horse racing in 1959, achieving a remarkable seven consecutive victories by spring 1960, including the Hanshin Junior Stakes, Satsuki Sho, and Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby). Despite missing out on the Classic Triple Crown in 1960, he won the Takarazuka Kinen in 1962. Known as the 'Dream Super Express,' he became a celebrated figure in Japanese racing culture. He passed away on June 28, 1976, and was inducted into the JRA Hall of Fame in 1990.
