Knut Jørgen Røed Ødegaard is a Norwegian astronomer born on May 6, 1966. He previously worked as a media contact at the University of Oslo's Institute of Theoretical Astrophysics. Ødegaard served as the leader of the Norwegian Astronomical Society from 2005 to 2008 and is currently the manager of the Harestua Solar Observatory. Known for his enthusiasm for astronomy, he has become a popular figure in Norwegian media, often consulted for significant astronomical events, including the 2004 Transit of Venus and the 2005 Huygens probe landing on Titan.
