He was born on July 24, 1912, in Spalviškiai village, and passed away on January 4, 1986, in Kaunas, where he is buried at Eiguliai Cemetery. Throughout his career, Čerbulėnas contributed significantly to the study and preservation of Lithuanian culture and history through his various roles in museums and academia.
