Klaus Werner Schede was a German classical archaeologist born on August 4, 1914, in Charlottenburg. He participated in excavations at Boğazköy under Kurt Bittel and later pursued his studies in classical archaeology. He earned his doctorate shortly before World War II under Bernhard Schweitzer at the University of Leipzig. Sadly, he was killed in the early days of the war, making him one of the youngest archaeologists to fall during the conflict. His contributions were recognized posthumously in various academic discussions and publications.
