Klaus Kordon is a German poet and author born in Berlin in 1943. He has written more than 100 books, including novels, stories, and fairy tales, primarily for children and teenagers. Kordon is noted for his biography of his favorite author, Erich Kästner, titled 'Die Zeit ist kaputt' published in 1994. He is a member of the German PEN Center and the German Academy for Children's and Youth Literature.
