Kiyoshi Hara is a notable Japanese potter and ceramic artist, born on February 28, 1936, in Hikawa, Shimane. He was declared a Living National Treasure in 2005 for his expertise in ceramic production. Hara trained under prominent ceramic masters and opened a studio in Setagaya, Tokyo, in 1965. He later moved to Yorii in Saitama Prefecture, where he built a kiln. Known for his ceramics featuring large iron glaze, he has contributed significantly to the field and donated many works to the Shimane Art Museum.
