Kitō Kyōichi was a Japanese composer born on June 10, 1922. He was a student at the Tokyo Music School when he was drafted into the military, and he tragically died in an accident during flight training on July 29, 1945, just 17 days before the end of World War II. Posthumously, in 2015, his song 'Ame' was premiered, depicting the scene of his remains returning to his beloved hometown 70 years after his death.
