Kiran Shankar Sengupta (February 2, 1918 – May 1, 1998) was a significant Bengali poet from the 1940s, known for pioneering a new direction in modern Bengali poetry. He, despite studying English literature, transcended the Kolkata-centered modern literature and became a pivotal figure in promoting the progressive literary traditions of then East Bengal.
