Kimiko Ueda (March 8, 1930 - July 22, 2011) was a Japanese translator known for her translations of English detective novels. Born in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, she graduated from Kumamoto Women's Professional School. Ueda began translating in her 40s and continued until her passing at the age of 81 due to pancreatic cancer. Her son, Noriyuki Ueda, is a noted religious scholar, and she had a daughter-in-law named Toko Takeuchi.
