She played a significant role in the beauty industry during the Showa era by founding beauty organizations, appearing on television, and contributing to various media and magazines to promote beauty culture. During World War II, when excessive beauty practices were restricted and permanent waves were banned, she led a movement with her colleagues to oppose these regulations, thus sustaining the beauty industry. She is regarded as one of the leading figures in the mid-Showa beauty scene.
