Khalil Consul (December 23, 1937 - December 5, 2018) was a Jordanian writer, author, and astronomer known for being one of the founders of the Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences and serving multiple terms as its Secretary-General. He was also a founder and former president of the Jordanian Astronomical Society. Khalil published numerous books and works on astronomy in Arabic and was the editor of 'Al-Kawn magazine'. He contributed English research, especially on the Um Qais crater, and is regarded as a pioneer among Arab astronomers.
