He debuted in 2011 with 'De Ziener,' winning the Schaduwprijs in 2012 for the best thrilling debut in Dutch. His subsequent works include 'Bloedlijn' (2012), 'Seance' (2016), which was shortlisted for the Harland Awards, and 'Blackwell' (2018), an homage to gothic masters. In 2019, he published 'Engelenlust,' a notable literary novel on necrophilia. He has been publishing under the name K.R. Valgaeren since then.
