Kerstin Ulrika (Ulli) Ehrnrooth-Forsten was a Finnish-Swedish children's author, born on November 10, 1906, in Helsinki. She was the daughter of Finnish politician Leo Ehrnrooth and Kerstin Niklander. In addition to her writing, she was a painter and illustrator, holding a solo exhibition in 1932. Ehrnrooth-Forsten also participated in group exhibitions organized by the Finnish Artists' Association and the Turku Art Society during the 1920s and 1930s. She was married to Torsten Rudolf Forsten from 1933 until her death on October 28, 2004.
