Kerem Güney, born Yavuz Örten on September 26, 1939, in Istanbul, Turkey, was a prominent Turkish musician and composer known for his songs such as 'Aldırma Gönül', 'Merhaba Meyhaneci', and 'Yarım Kalan Aşk'. He released his first record in 1969 and gained fame with 'Aldırma Gönül' performed by Edip Akbayram in 1978. He lived in Akyarlar Village, Bodrum, Turkey, where he passed away on November 16, 2012, at the age of 73 due to heart failure. He was buried the following day at Fener Cemetery in Bodrum.
