Tsiame Kenneth Mopeli (1930–2014) was the first Prime Minister of the former South African bantustan Qwaqwa. Born in Namahadi, he earned his BA (Hons) in 1954 from the University of South Africa. After teaching and working as a radio broadcaster, he became a member of the Qwaqwa Regional Authority. He founded the Dikwankwetla Party, gaining victory in the Qwaqwa elections of May 19, 1975, leading to his position as Prime Minister until Qwaqwa was reintegrated into South Africa in April 1994.
