Kenneth Charles McFadyen was an Australian war artist born on January 17, 1932. He is notable for being an official war artist during the Vietnam War, where he spent seven months in Vietnam starting in mid-August 1967. He was affiliated with the 1st Australian Task Force and the Royal Australian Navy destroyer HMAS Hobart. After the war, he continued to create art for the Australian War Memorial and passed away from a heart attack on March 17, 1998. A biography of his life and work was published in 2010.
