He worked for the Tokyo City government, particularly in the Parks Department, where he designed various projects, including the monkey park at Ueno Zoo and the Kuroshio Cottage in Izu Oshima. Notably, in 1941, he designed the residence of Tokutoku, the nephew of Saigo Takamori, located in Shibuya. He contributed significantly to the development of public spaces and facilities in Tokyo.
