Keiko Sootome is a Japanese illustrator born on June 2, 1974, in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Raised in Yokohama, she graduated from Seijo University with a focus on art. A self-taught illustrator, her first work was for the magazine 'Hanako'. Known for her surreal illustrations using bold colors, she is also active as a talent and columnist. Additionally, she participates in various projects by her husband, the playwright and director Tohru Hosokawa, and contributes illustrations annually to the Asahi Shimbun's New Year's edition.
