Edward Katumba Wamala, born on November 19, 1956, is a Ugandan general and politician who has held various significant positions including Minister of Works and Transport since December 14, 2019, and previously as Minister of State for Works. He served as the chief of defense forces for the UPDF from 2013 to 2017 and as the inspector general of police from 2001 to 2005. Notably, he survived an assassination attempt in June 2021 which resulted in injuries to himself and the loss of his daughter.
