Kassahun Ayele Tesemma is a retired Ethiopian diplomat born on June 17, 1949. He worked initially as an engineer in a sugar factory and later contributed to industrial projects. He held various positions in government, including director general of the Authority for Project Development Studies and Minister of Trade and Industry. Kassahun served as Ethiopia's ambassador to Washington, D.C. from 2002 to 2006, and then as ambassador in Berlin from 2006 to 2009. He was also a member of the Central Committee of the Amhara National Democratic Movement.
