He was an academic, obtaining degrees from Uppsala University, where he later taught. His significant contributions include his doctoral thesis on the Paramphistomidae family and educational textbooks co-authored with O.P. Moberg. Näsmark also served as a popular lecturer, editor of an educational magazine, and participated in various educational investigations.
