Jüri Pärni (January 7, 1939 – June 22, 2009) was an Estonian translator and orchestra conductor. He studied violin at Rakvere Children's Music School and graduated in 1956. From 1957 to 1968, he worked as an orchestra conductor. He continued his education at the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute in Moscow from 1968 to 1974. Since 1972, he was freelancing, translating approximately twenty literary works and film subtitles from Russian. He passed away as a result of a brain tumor.
